I TESTED DF WITH MY PLAYER TOON TODAY WITH ALL MOBS THAT CONS GREEN, BLUE, YELLOW, ORANGE, RED, AND PURPLE.

ALL SEEM TO BE WORKING SMOOTHLY, BY DROPPING RANDOMLY GENERATED LOOT THAT WAS ASSIGNED TO THOSE COLORS.

THE HIGHER THE MOB LEVEL EQUALS THE HIGHER PERCENTAGE OF BETTER DROPS, SUCH AS RP & BP TOKENS, SEALS, AND ASSORTED LOOT.

DON'T FORGET THE SERVER DB DOES THE ROLLING ON WHAT YOU GET FOR DROPS. SO IF YOU DON'T GET WHAT YOU WANT EACH TIME DON'T BLAME THE STAFF. ALL THE PERCENATGES ASSIGNED TO THE MOBS ARE VERY FAIR.

SO, HAVE FUN WORK AT IT AND LET THE FARMING BEGIN AND ENJOY.

ALSO, DF HAS BEEN REDESIGNED SO THAT ALL THE 247 MOBS ARE IMPLEMENTED AND ARE CLOSELY LIKENED TO LIVE AS POSSIBLE. THIS MEANS THE LOOT DROPS ARE SUPER CLOSE TO LIVE WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS. OUR SERVER WHICH IS COOP DROPS THE RP/BP TOKENS IN RVR AREAS. AND, YOU WILL DISCOVER OTHER BONUSES ALONG THE WAY THAT WILL BRING THE LOVE FOR FARMING BACK TO DF.
FINALLY, DF IS ABOUT 95% DONE. YOU SHOULD FIND ALL YOUR FAVORITE MOBS AND BOSSES. SOME MOB MODELS WERE NOT AVAILBLE TO MATCH IT'S LIVE COUNTERPARTS SO SUITABLE SUBSITUTIONS WERE MADE.

THERE WAS A MESS OF PROBLEMS RELATED MOSTLY TO THE ALB DF MERCHANTS. ADDED SOME GEAR NAMELY SCOUT AND REMOVED SOME HIB STUFF NAMELY NIGHTSHADE. NIGHTSHADE APPEARS TO BE FULLY IMPLEMENTED ON THE HIB SIDE.

KODO THE MERCHANT HAD WHAT SEEMS TO BE A SICK JOKE...HE HAD ITEMS FOR SALE FOR LIKE 2.2 MILLION SEALS. THIS AND OTHER MERCHANTS WERE SIMPLY IN THE PACK THAT WAS DOWNLOADED FROM THE DOL DB. SO I HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE ON OTHER SERVERS. IF YOUR WHERE LUCKY ENOUGH AND FOUND A WAY TO STORE THAT MANY SEALS, THE ITEM WAS A RETAIL VALUE OF 220 GOLD AND WOULD SELL FOR HALF AT MERCHANTS. NOW, THE LEATHER, CLOTH AND MISC. ITEMS ARE FIXED AND HAVE BEEN MOVED WITH THERE APPLICABLE BONUSES TO THE DIAMOND MERCHANT.

LASTLY IF YOU WANT TO MAKE CASH THE OLD SCHOOL WAY...

HERE'S THE TRICK. TAKE A CRAFTER TOON AND LEVEL HIM/HER UP TO WHERE HE/SHE HAS A CRAFTING ABILITY WHERE THEY CAN SALVAGE ITEMS EFFECTIVELY.

THEN FARM THE NORMAL WAY IN DF TO GET SEALS.. BUY ITEMS FROM DF MERCHANTS. THEN SALVAGE ITEMS FOR THE MATERIALS THEY BREAK DOWN.

CRAFT HINGES AND MAKE A PROFIT. THERE YOU GO ENJOY.

YOU WILL FIND IT EASIER TO FIND THE MERCHANT YOUR LOOKING FOR NOW SINCE ALL THE MERCHANTS HAVE THE APPROPRIATE SEAL IDENTIFIER TO BUY STUFF.

AS TIME PERMITS I WILL GO THRU OTHER MERCHANTS AND SEE WHAT THEY ARE LACKING. BUT FOR NOW JUST FIXED THE MAJOR PROBLEMS ON ALB SIDE.

IF YOU PORT BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT DF MERCHANTS IN EACH REALM YOU SHOULD FIND WHAT YOU NEED TO EQUIP YOUR PLAYER.

Today i hope to have all the Mauler items fixed on all sides as far as weapons, which will include wraps and staffs.

I fixed the stacking problem on the following gem drops:

Kath Gem
Mon Gem
Ros Gem
Zo Gem

all will stack correctly after reboot tonight at 100am EST.

Please note that there are 12 different gem drops. because all 3 realms have a class specific gem for there class in each catagory. This is due to the crafting requirement in each realms class.

I was wonder what live version of DAOC are you thinking of? Because the last time I played live there was not even that many mobs so closely packed in before. I'm sorry to say but for me DF just isn't fun anymore, RP/BP in DF just are not that important. Since DF has been populated I have only been able to walk out of DF twice, and yes i have been in DF more than 2 times. it's closer to 15. Overall DF is not worth it anymore.

along with changes in any mobs strength there has to be some adjustments. And, testing and more testing...i have been going thru and nerfing things a bit and will thin out the mobs a little...remember, if you read the current "event", thats why it is that way, just like Jord was taken over...along with testing that takes time and i'm only one person who has to go back and make the changes for what does and doesn't work each day...It won't be that thick forever...

Ok, almost every little section in DF now has a safe corner to rest, recharge, group, to pull, log, etc, with some minor exceptions where there is no room where some named mobs reside. Easily enough, an adjoining room is close enough to have one of those rest spots.

Also, Lords, Dukes, Marquis, Earls, and Named Bosses all have a chance of getting something good for drops.

When, I began fixing things, trying to match the mob levels and loot drops with live,
I found that since the creation of the Rune Protectors...One, could literally mow down any mob including Prices and High Lords with a Rune Protector...

So, the adjustments were made increasing mob strengths in areas and adding more loot drops for your benefit...

And, since we are a "Free Shard", which is simply a piece of the real DAOC thing, like unto live. We build, create, download all that is available to make your playing experience more enjoyable. This is done at the expense of many volunteer hours of data research to fill in the missing gaps on the shard where the DOL downloads are lacking to make even the simplest mundane items or tasks work for all in the game play. So, a great deal of customizing and creativity is done to provide for the lack in the DOL DB for your benefit.

Today, I added several "Caravan Captians" to areas of DF so you don't have to die or run back to porter or loose your Champion XP. Just use a home porter, which will port ya back to you home of origin. Hope, this helps when camping and farming in DF.

DF has a nice merchant conversion program for your benifit.
Check it out when you get the opportunity.
